A Terrorist’s Mind

The recent attacks in Mumbai and the ones in the past in & around the world, point to one thing that is it was an act of terrorism. This act tries to insinuate that when a life is threatened, there is much chaos and panic. And this is precisely the intention of the terrorists who create this mayhem. It is a warning that a common man is very vulnerable and when such an incidence takes place, it throws his entire life out of gear.
The impact of this life threatening event is such that for a couple of days one does not dare to venture out to perform his / her daily tasks. The markets are closed due to risk of sudden attacks, the schools & colleges are given off in order to protect the children, offices are empty with scanty employee attendance. All in all, it is an indirect hit on the economy of the city & in turn……the country.
So let us just analyze why a human being is passionate about as heinous a crime as manslaughter? Why is it that they don’t even think twice nor flinch while mercilessly gunning down fellow human? This act is so dastardly that they do not spare women or even innocent kids. What exactly goes on in their mind is anybody’s guess!!!!!!!
Who becomes a “terrorist”? I strongly feel that a person weak in mind is drawn to this sect. One will argue that a person who has the guts the kill brutally cannot be called ‘weak minded’ person. But my conclusion is that it was his INITIAL state of mind which converted him into a terrorist. Or else, he would have been a commoner like us. He was weak and that is why he was made the pawn in the big game. It was not HIS idea, but someone else’s and he was a mere puppet in their hands. The masterminds used him to achieve their sadistic goal of mass destruction of life & property.
Had he had a strong mind, he would not fall prey to the sadist’s villainous schemes. He would analyze the right & the wrong and follow the path of truth, peace & justice. But being unable to do so, he treads the path of doom and finally gives up his life for a totally unworthy cause.
Most terrorists when interrogated come up with stories of very traumatic past. They are unhappy in their home environment and seek solace in some place else. The masterminds of criminal world hand pick such individuals for their mission, as they know that these young wayward chaps are on the point of no return and have no place to turn back to. These rebellious youngsters want to prove to their much hated family as well as to the world that THEY TOO are capable of unimaginable feats. Every ordinary individual has a dream to be in the limelight sometime in their life. But the mode of achieving this is no doubt very sick & dangerous.
When we were born, I don’t think our parents even know or dream what we are going to be in the future. The same applies to these terrorists too. Little do their parents know that their offspring to whom they have so fondly given birth to will be responsible for taking away so many other lives!!!!!!!!
